How to Get to Sagada from Manila

Going to Sagada entails long bus rides from the flatlands of Central Luzon to winding mountain passes passing either Banaue, Ifugao or Baguio City. The entire trip takes around 10-12 hours.

You can choose the route to take based on the following:

1.Direct trip from Manila to Sagada via Banaue

CODA Lines has been offering direct trips to Sagada from Manila for PHP 720 each way (student & senior citizen 20% discount applies). This is by far the easiest way to get to Sagada from Manila via Banaue. Buses leave from their terminal at ______ , Cubao, Quezon City at 9PM daily.

The route passes through the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya and Ifugao.

2.Manila to Sagada via Baguio City

There are many bus companies plying the Manila to Baguio route which leaves every hour from their respective terminals in Pasay and Quezon City. Fare ranges from Php380.00 to 455.00.

Upon reaching Baguio City, take a taxi to the GL Liner bus station in Dangwa terminal (at the back of Baguio Center Mall) or Lizardo Trans in Slaughter Compound, Magsaysay Avenue. Taxi fare is in between PHP 50-60 depending on traffic. Unlike in Manila, taxi drivers in Baguio only charge the exact amount as appearing in the meter box and give back the exact change, so take it. 

The earliest trip to Sagada is 3:00AM and the last trip at 5:00PM. Roughly a 6-hr ride, the fare is PHP 220.

To go back to Baguio from Sagada, you can catch the bus from the town center. The first bus departs at 5AM, then every hour on the hour from 7-11AM Afternoon trips are available at 1:00PM and 5:30PM.
